                          Lake Waco            We all would like a vacation to a lake. Swimming, kayaking, and boating are some fun activities to enjoy, but is it all the same for lake Waco Texas.                 Well it wouldn’t kill you but there is still a threat. Every 15 to 20 years a group of alligators travel through the middle of Texas. These alligators have been known to swim in lake Waco. That isn’t the only threat. On September 1, 2018 an environmental group tested the water and found multiple types of bacteria. Facts About The Trail Of Tears       More than 15,000 Cherokee people were removed from their homeland. The white people kicked them out and forced them to go to the other side of the Mississippi. It took almost three months to travel to the place where they were going. The people were going to Utah. These are the people that traveled on The Trail Of Tears; The Cherokee, Creek, Chickasaw, Choctaw, and Seminole. It's called The Trail Of Tears because they suffered from hunger, sickness, and diseases. The very sad trail is 5,043 miles long. 16,000 people were on this trail. 3,000 people died on the sad Trail of Tears. The people died from a lot of diseases. These people traveled from 1831-1877.                              The Trail of Tears              In 1830 the southern native Americans lived at peace. With little war and contention their cutler and people were thriving. But in just one year all would change. This tragic story would later be known as, The Trail of Tears.              In 1831 Andrew Jackson’s Indian Removal Act gave the us the “right” to remove all native Americans living in the south eastern states, they would be forced to migrate all the way to the west side of the Mississippi river on foot.
